CHALK RIVER REACTOR SHUT DOWN AGAIN
One year after the shutdown of the Chalk River nuclear reactor that jeopardized patient care delivery across the world for more than a month, we are facing another shortage of medical isotopes production. This new acute crisis has the potential to be even worse due to the concomitant shutdown of European reactors for either maintenance or technical problems.
In partnership with Health Canada, the provincial Health Authorities and the producers and distributors of medical isotopes, the Nuclear Community in Canada will do its very best to ensure that the medical needs of the Canadian population are fulfill.

Should you have any question or comments feel free to call the Canadian Association of Nuclear Medicine (CANM) at 613-730-6254.

President, CANM
